Jubilee Conference

As many of you will be aware, Cruse celebrates its Golden Jubilee in 2009. The Jubilee conference is taking place at Warwick University on 16-17 July with various workshops and talks by renowned speakers, aimed at anyone working with bereaved people.

The cost to Cruse volunteers is £310.00 which includes overnight accommodation with breakfast, lunch, dinner and refreshments.

Mileage Allowance

The mileage allowance is currently 30p per mile. Some volunteers are still using old expenses forms with the wrong amount printed on - please can you double check this next time you put in a claim.

If you don't claim travelling expenses and you are a UK tax payer, would you consider claiming and Gift Aiding them back to Cruse? This would give us more money than we currently save. Please ask the Darlington office for a form to fill in if you would like to do this.

Fundraising

Darlington Carnival
We will be running a cake stall here on 27 June 2009. Any contributions or offers of help will be gratefully received. Please contact the Darlington office.

Catterick Market
We are taking a collection here on Sunday 26 July 2009 and need up to 4 volunteers for each shift. Time slots available between 10.00am and 4.00pm. Please check your diary and contact the Darlington office if you can spare an hour or two.

Darlington Market
We have arranged a charity stall in Darlington Market on 22 August 2009 to sell second hand goods. Contributions will be appreciated and we need volunteers to help out on the day. Please contact the Darlington office. New faces are most welcome.

Guisborough
Many thanks to volunteers who held a coffee morning in April, raising more than £60.00.

Special needs/skills/awareness training day with Hilary Laws and Jacqueline Quinn.
Lunch provided. Please let the Darlington office know if you are interested.

Volunteers are welcome to attend any training session at any branch, but please contact the branch in advance so they can let you know about any changes, cancellations, etc.
